The Attitude of the 2 Teenagers Towards Their Family(q5-3)

Anne and Peter were in their blooming stages during their hiding. Anne, as a bright and lively girl shows direct delivery of her feelings to her family. Her favorite family member is her father who tends to care and understand her so, she depends on her father the most and acts positively towards him with respect. (positive, respectful) Anne was jealous of her sister, Margot, who always got good grades and was complimented for her feminine actions. Because Anne was compared with Margot all the time, she grew jealous and tired of her sisters ladyness. (negative, tired) In her diary, Anne complains that her mother never understands her and only repects Margot. Anne curses alot about her mother and whines that she never wants to become like her mother, who is also like Margot. (negative, disrespectful)

On the other hand, Peter acts negatively towards all his parents. Mr. Van Daan pesters Peter because of his stupidity, etc. His father also complains alot that Peter cares about Mouschi too much and claims that the cat was keeping Peter from his studies and life. Peter must have felt abashed and humiliated when Mr. Van Daan said that, because his father was going against his own thoughts and joys. (negative, stubborn) Mrs. Van Daan has a chaacteristic that's similar to Anne, she is lively and outright. She mocks Peter by embarrassing him with jokes of his relationship with Anne. In many parts of the scene, I could tell that Peter felt embarrassed when his mother spoke of specific topics. (pg.383: "Mother... for heaven's sake...will you please stop saying that?") So, I could tell that Peter is humiliated by his mother and also doesn't agree/like because of their opposite characters. (negative, humiliated)

Nice~~
Great description of the two different characters!~~
I liked how you described how that character was like and compared how they were different to their parents and which parent Anne liked better. Also, I liked how you said why Anne envied her sister and why Peter got so embarrassed of his mother and why his father dislikes him so much. Nice job~~~ Keep it up~~

Wa~ You explained very well about the symptoms(?) of Anne and Peter! Oh yes, they surely sent ♥ to each other during the drama and the movie. Anne was lonely, but was Peter? He said that he didn't have any friends and that he didn't need any. I thought that Anne was being very puerile in the movie, yelling at her mother like that. Anne has got an older sister, and so do I, but I don't remember yelling at her like that in the age of Anne (which right now, I suppose.). I also don't act like that to my mother! And Peter? I thought that he was worse, being ashamed of his parents. Yes, perhaps Mr. and Mrs. Van Daan were being selfish, but them still, they were his parents! But my mind changed when he said that he would follow them if they had to leave the Annex.
